Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions is one of the most traditional clubs in Austrian Basketball. The club was founded 1966 and is consecutive member of Austria’s first division since 1983. They are three-time Austrian champion (1991, 1994, 2000) and three time Cup-winner (1997, 2000, 2001). In the past years the club set its focus on developing young players. Reigning Euroleague MVP and newly NBA player Nemanja Bjelica (SRB) started his professional career in Traiskirchen. And Jakob Pöltl, Austrias first ever NBA player, spent his only season (13/14) in professional european basketball with Lions.
