– You have reached the Final Four of the Alpe Adria Cup. How was the journey between the top four and how do you evaluate the current edition of this competition?

“We are definitely happy that we managed to make it to the Final Four. It was a tough road to get here and it provided us with some tough games alongside the league. I think even the quarter-final clash with Ústí nad Labem had its edge and it’s all the more precious that we are here.”

– With what expectations and goals are you going into the Final Four?

“We are going with great motivation and determination. We will give it our all.”

– Vienna will be your semi-final opponent. What do you know about your opponent? How does he play, on what does he rely on in his tactics?

“We know especially that they dominating in their league and have advanced over the Polish team. That speaks for itself. We will prepare and we will fight. We saw already in the summer that Vienna has put together a very strong team for the FIBA Europe Cup and that their ambitions will be big in the Alpe Adria Cup. At the same time, I believe that we will be able to matched them.”

– Your duel will also be a clash of league leaders. Does it give the match more intensity and prestige?

“Prestige it is in any case. It’s already a semi-final, so I think it gives the game its edge.”

– The Final Four is played in single game format, which is a change in comparison with past seasons. From your point of view, what makes this format special?

“It’s an interesting format. Several competitions end in a tournament way. I think it’s attractive for spectators and there is a chance to see the 4 best teams of the competition in one place, which increases the experience and the chance to enjoy good basketball. The fact that the Final Four is being held in Levice is also an excellent thing for the club and a guarantee that it will be organized at the top level.”

– Final Four of Alpe Adria Cup will be held in front of TV cameras and there is also a prize money at stake. How do you see the progress of the competition that the management is trying to make?

“I see that the competition is getting better every year. Despite the complications with the covid, we are in the finish line of another year, that that takes the competition another step further.”
