Post-game quotes:
Zlatko Jovanovič, coach of Komárno: “Congratulations to the players and to the club. If someone told me, in this kind of system how we are play our domestic league and Alpe Adria Cup, that Komárno will win group, I will tell him, he is crazy. For us it is a great result, this shows, that we are doing a really good job in the last 1- 1 and half years. This team goes into Top 8 and represents Slovak basketball. I have to say it again: congratulations to the player and to the club, we made a result and now we can relax. We are happy, we are satisfied. Now we can recover, but we have to prepare for our next game, which will be next Wednesday. Merry Christmas for everyone.”
Demarkus Stuckey, player of Komárno: “Definitely we came out with good energy, we were motivated. Big win for us, we have reaped the momentum, we come together as a team. We are happy now, but we have to get ready for next Wednesday.”
Damir Rajkovič, coach of Škrljevo: “We need cooperation between referees, players and coaches. It’s not normal, that referees are whistling like that. We made many mistakes, when we lead by 10 points, we lose control of the game. We came back in the last couple of minutes, but we didn’t have enough energy to win this game. Congratulations to Komárno, I hope they will go into the finals.”
Griffin Benjamin Ramme, player of Škrljevo: “It was a match full of ups and downs, a lot of runs by both teams. We just have to be more consistent in the future, we are an inexperienced team, but if we continue to fight hard, we are going to have good results. So we have to go step-by-step, trust and effort, it will all come together. This game shown, how we play the whole season.”
