For the Owls it was second home game in Helios Alpe Adria Cup a they knew that if they want to pass throught the group A, they must win. Vienna arrive 20 minutes before the game starts and it influe their performance in the first quarter. Home team capitan Michal Mareš scored 13 points (3/3 for three points) in first 6 minutes and his teammates bring other 19 until end of the first periot. That was the key moment of the game, because 16 points different was to much for Vienna. For the rest of the game USK Praha hold game controller and they did not give a chance to Vienna for reverse.
Chris Chougaz (headcoach USK Praha): „It was not easy game becouse it was third game in five days. Also a must win game becouse of future in this competition. The good think is that we had a rotation and all players had minutes to be ready for Saturday game.“
Michal Mareš (player USK Praha): „It looks like an easy game but it was not. In first quarter we made few three points shoots and it untied our hans. I am happy for that and for the moment that we had chance to give more minutes for our young talents. I hope that we will keep this shape also to Czech league.“
Luigi Gresta (headchoach BC Hallmann Vienna): „We come here with many injuries. We are missing few guys. After the beginning when we did well they beat our zone. We tried to fight but you know.. we were missing 3 players. For us it was more like a practice and lets say we did it.“
Reger Dowell (player BC Hallmann Vienna): „It was comeritive game We were quit short hands becouse 3 players are injured and our bus was late. So we came here like 20 minutes before the game but this is not excuse. We did our best.“
