Both teams started with a very aggressive defense. Easy way to keep the basket closed on both sides. Vienna still tried to go for the one-on-one situations under the basket. Inter seemed to have a special focus on BC GGMT’s big man Rados, who had to sit out the second half of the first quarter due to two personal fouls. Vienna was still able to hold their small lead and finished the first quarter with 23:17. During the next 5 minutes Inter was able to hold the score. Three turnovers in a row caused coach Naglic from Vienna to call in for a time out. The team of coach Meleshchenko started a great 7:0 run after this short break and took over the lead. Vienna made some mistakes in defending Slavinskas and Zubac but kept on fighting. Inter still kept this lead until the end of this period (34:37).

Vienna definitely came back more concentrated. A huge monster block from Hughes in minute 2 seemed to bring Vienna back, but Inter  scored 3 times in a row from behind the 3-point-line and kept the lead. Two minutes before the end of this quarter, Vienna found a way through the tough defense from Inter and was able to win this period by 5 points. In the last period, both teams fought hard for the win. Vienna was now able to get the ball to their big men under the basket. Vienna won this important game with 93:76.
