Egis Kormendi came to Slovenia with younger roster so it was just about question of time when Šenčur will excape with a bigger score difference. After first period in a Sport Hall Šenčur home team lead for 21 points. All ofensive and defensive care was in favor of home team. Second quarter was a little bit lazy and Hungary team expressed with more ofensive potential, but Šenčur managed to keep 16 points gap before the break.

Third period was pretty much the best part for the Šenčur, while guest team couldn’t stop most of the ofensive action. Superb control under the board, many rebounds and some easy basket, made home team unbeatable. Some substitution and less control effect in fourth period from home team made final result much more adjustuble for Egis Kormendi.

The best performance showed Akos Nemeth who scored 27 points with excelent percentage from field – almost 70%. Šenčur was more equalized, Veljo Brkić scored 20 points but power forward Dino Murić and point guard Uroš Zadnik had index 22.

Konstantin SUBOTIČ, Coach of Sencur: 30 minutes we played with good energy. Younger roster of Kormend wasn’t in our range, because we forced them play with many mistakes. I can not be satisfied with last quarter, but we will find reasons and pull out best things we managed to do tonight.

Uroš ZADNIK, player of Sencur: Today’s game was a pretty much good practise for upcoming games. We played well three quarters and very bad last one. So we can see what to do in the future.

Benjamin PATA, player of Körmend: The club decided to start Alpe Adria Cup with under 23 members of the team. It was our pleasure to play against very good team and great organisation of Šenčur. I expected that my players will play 100% with all capabilities they have. In first quarter our guys didin’t believe in theirselves, but latter they try to keep up. I expect that my players will learn from this game and to grow up with this team. They have to believe to themselves.

Akos Nemeth, player of Körmend: Congrats to Šenčur. We knew that is going to be a tough game. They use their advantages very wise. In second half we played much better and we came a bit closer after 40 points deficit. I’m still very proud of my team, because we didin’t give up.  I’m happy with my performance, but always the team is the first conclusion.
