We started strongly from the beginning, even though Hungarians scored the first basket. We slowly begun to raise our lead and we ended up leading by seven after four minutes. Then we went on a scoring run. In three minutes, we outscored the visitors by ten points (10-0) and finished the quarter with nine-point lead. We continued our dominance even in the second period where we averaged a ten-point lead. At the end of the first half we raised the lead even further and went to locker rooms with a comfortable score 48:33.
The second half continued in the same rhythm. Kozina begun the quarter with a made three-point shot. Since then there was no major change in the score and we went to the last period with an eighteen-point lead. Zalakerámia did not know what to do and had no chance in turning the tables. After relatively tied last quarter we raised our lead a bit more at the end and set the final score of a blowout win – 86:63.

We fought, we scored very well. We know they did not come with a full team but we want to take this match as a preparation for the next game we play in our league against Svitavy. Now I think we are much better than in the previous games. That is all, we played very well.”

Our defence was very weak the whole game, we did not guard them like we wanted. We let them shoot open shots and they had very good percentage of made shots. I We just trailed the whole game. We tried to do some things in offense that we were talking about but we missed three players. So maybe that was our weakness. Our young guys played more minutes as we wanted. So once again congratulations and I wish good luck to Brno.”
Jan Kozina, player od Egoé Basket Brno: “Our goal in Alpe Adria Cup was to go to the next round. Unfortunately, it was clear even before this game that we cannot go there. We would like to take this game as a preparation for the Czech league and we need to play better than in our previous games. Because our performance was not solid. Today we did what coach told us and we played well. That is also the way we want to play in our league. And congratulations to our opponent because they go to the next round.
